Students will also gain an understanding of the journey from welfare to development and rights perspectives and its significance, given the diverse social, cultural, economic and linguistic contexts of childhood in India. Students will be exposed to the changing socio-political realities and the emergence of a vibrant but unregulated private sector, the role of the state and its implications for children’s learning and development.
